Bunny Theater

Some of my readers who have been coming around here for a while may remember the bunny nest and baby bunnies that were in my yard a couple of summers ago.  Well, a new family has arrived. A mother bunny was building a nest in my front yard right out by the sidewalk over this past weekend.  I made a video of her.  My camera is an inexpensive one and the video is not good quality, but I enjoyed watching her and thought maybe some of you might enjoy it too.   Before the video starts, she spent quite a bit of time digging the hole.  In this video, you will see her pulling big mouthfuls of grass up by the roots and then carrying them over to the nest.  She lines the hole that she dug with the grass to make it soft for the baby bunnies.  She also uses the grass to cover up the babies to protect and hide them. The Yard Bunny and Lilac Birds (Spring Poems)

Image
The Yard Bunny The yard bunny is lying lazily on the ground, because he can, on a whim, when there's no one around. I like the way he lets his legs stretch out behind him. Soaking up the sun is where you'll find him. *   *   *   *   * Lilac Birds Lilac birds perch in purple clumps flocking together at the top of the bush. Feathers or flowers? Purple plumes? or purple blooms? It's hard to say sometimes when shove comes to push .

At first I assumed it was the rabbits that were eating them until I saw a squirrel happily dining away on the white and yellow delicacies. Hey you, squirrel, PLEASE don't eat the daisies!! My morning glory seedlings have begun to poke their heads up out of the dirt. It was an absolutely gorgeous day with pretty blue skies, fluffy floating clouds, and grass and trees as green as God intended them to be. I took some cloud pictures in the park from my walk tonight. The sun is just starting to go down in these last two photos of clouds at the park. The last photo is my favorite of this group. I loved the brilliant color of this peony flower. There has been a bunny or maybe two ...
