Rachel McAdams Biography Born on 7 October 1976, in London, Ontario, Canada Rachel Mcadams is a Canadian actress. Rachel grew up in nearby St. Thomas, Ontario. Her father Lance is a truck driver, and mother Sandy is a nurse. She has one younger brother Daniel and younger sister Kayleen. When she was four, she started figure skating and skated competitively throughout high school. While when she was 13, she started acting in summer theater camp opened nearby, where she was performing in productions of Shakespeare. She was always wanted to be an actress. From grade nine to OAC McAdams attended Central Elgin Collegiate Institute in St. Thomas. Rachel won her first acting award in 1995 for the high school play "I Live In A Little Town" featured in the Ontario Showcase of the Sears Drama Festival.
