Roger Waters şi David Gilmour in concert la Kiddington Hall din Oxfordshire

Image
Kiddington Hall din Oxfordshire a găzduit recent un concert de caritate, banii fiind destinaţi Fundaţiei Hope and Optimism for Palestinians In the next Generation. Sursa

Waters And Gilmour To Work Together Again?

Image
There could be more live collaborations between Roger Waters and David Gilmour .  Following their surprise on stage reunion last weekend, in aid of the Hoping Foundation , Waters has said this might not be a one-off.  Writing on his Facebook page, the former Pink Floyd leader said the idea for the get together a week ago came from Gilmour (a big supporter of the Hoping Foundation), and that he had taken some persuading to do it. After Gilmour suggested they do the Teddy Bears’ classic  To Know Him Is To Love Him , at first Waters felt that this might be beyond his capabilities: “Some weeks passed with David cajoling me from time to time, telling me how easy it would be, but I clung resolutely to my fear of failure until one day he made one final entreaty. I quote, ‘If you do  To Know Him Is To Love Him  for The Hoping Foundation Gig, I’ll come and do  C. Numb  on one of your  Wall  shows”.  Well! You could have knocked me down with...

We will meet Again

Pina la urma, chiar si in formatii separate, asa cum cinta acum, numai sa se intimple minunea sa-i vedem intr-un concert in Romania. Vise...

David Jon Gilmour was born on 6th March 1946 in Cambridge, England, the second child of Douglas Gilmour, a senior lecturer in Zoology at the University and Sylvia, a teacher. Best known as guitarist, vocalist and writer with Pink Floyd, he is also renowned for his solo work and collaborations with other artists including Kate Bush, Paul McCartney, and Pete Townshend. David Gilmour and Roger 'Syd' Barrett met as children in Cambridge and later, whilst studying at the Cambridgeshire College of Arts and Technology, began playing guitar together. In 1965 they spent a summer hitchhiking and busking around the South of France before Syd joined Roger Waters, Nick Mason and Rick Wright to form Pink Floyd, and David continued playing with his own band Jokers Wild, subsequently touring Europe with Flowers, and later Bullitt. David was asked to augment the Pink Floyd line up as the singer and guitarist in 1967, only for Syd to leave the group five gigs later, struggling with mental illnes...
