Mellow Yellow Monday----Pinball Game

Image
The Mellow Yellow photo I'm posting this week is another find from the Antiques Market that I visited last week. It is a Vintage Poosh-M-Up Big 5 Table Top Pinball Game. According to an online listing I found, where one just like this is for sale, this is a table top pinball arcade game made by Northwest Products from 1933. The 5 games include: Put-In-Take, Baseball, Pennants, Bagatelle, and Twenty One. Looks like fun, don't you think? Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring!

At the Antiques Market that I visited last weekend, there was an entire section of the store devoted to phones. It was amazing to see all the different kinds there were. The items pictured on the shelves in these photos are all phones. Although, it would be hard to choose, I think I liked this wooden piano phone in this next photo on the left the best...... or maybe the one here of the upright bass because it reminds me of my younger son. This is my older son with both a hot dog phone and a hamburger phone. Here he is with a Skittles phone and posing with a mannequin nearby who didn't object to having her picture taken. You know I like to leave you with a song and dance, so here's a catchy number by Raffi to get you swinging and swaying. (Warning: you will be singing this song the rest of the day so listen at your own risk.)

I mentioned yesterday that I visited an Antiques Market over the weekend. I took pictures of a few of the things I saw there that I found to be amusing or whimsical. We were there for a very short time and saw only a small portion of what was on display. I would like to go back there sometime when I can spend more time looking at the wares. Here is a glimpse of a few things that I saw. This Oriental fellow standing amongst some fake flowers and some dishes made me smile. As a kid, I had a Mickey Mouse marionette puppet that I loved to play with, so I liked seeing these marionette puppets hanging from a pegboard. One of the things I love about this type of marketplace is the randomness and silliness of what you will find and how things are arranged on the shelf. For example, I loved seeing this frog wearing a slinky red evening gown. First of all, the incongruity of it amused me. It is not often that you see a frog in an evening gown---especially a RED one! This frog seems qu...
