It Doesn't Take Much
My older son tried to find a job this summer with no luck. Well, he has done a small number of odd jobs here and there. Mowing grass and doing yard work for a few people and a little bit of babysitting and pet sitting have kept him busy part of the time. He also worked for a few days helping tear out commercial refrigerators with a company owned by the father of one of his friends. Yesterday, he got a call back from the owner of a company that manufactures automobile parts locally. He worked for them last summer. Because business has been so slow, they didn't need him earlier in the summer. They got a big order in recently and needed some extra help, so they called my son. It is only a few days of work, but it made him happy to get the offer. They called him yesterday morning, and within half an hour of the call, he was there working. He's there again today.
