Corn, Lace, a Castle In the Country, and More

It has been a busy week. Between a trip to the vet for Max, a trip to the dentist for my son, visiting my mom, trying to adjust my schedule to accommodate my new work hours at the library, and several other interruptions of daily life (some expected and some unexpected) I have not had as much time to blog this week as I would have liked. I had to drive out of town a little ways to drop my son off at his friend's house today, so I took the camera along just in case I saw something worth photographing. I didn't see much. I saw a lot of corn. And then I saw some more corn. It is looking pretty good this year as far as I can tell. We've had alternating rain and sunshine when we needed it and haven't yet had any of the wilting, withering killing summer heat and drought that we have sometimes had in previous years.
