Went to see The Debt
Went to see The Debt (John Madden, 2011). Silly French title L'Affaire Rachel Singer. A remake of the Israeli movie Ha Hov (Assaf Bernstein, 2007). Very good movie. Thrilling and with a tremendous narrative twist + some serious narrative games. Helen Mirren magnificent, as always. My only problem with it: the casting agents must buy glasses, how could they cast Ciaran Hinds as David when Sam Worthington was playing Young David? It's beyond ludicrous, it's offensive. The only thing they have in common is that they are both human beings, basically.
