i've always been a huge fan of katharine hepburn.  to me, she always seemed the epitome of what it means to be a woman - strong, independent, humorous, fashionable, cheeky, glamorous, a feminist, never taking life too seriously, and incredibly wise.  i love that she chose never to have children and did many of her own movie stunts {something that was almost unheard of from actresses in her day}.
