this is my tuesday {friends}
it's hard to pick one photo that accurately symbolizes friendship in my life. i mean, i have been blessed with tons of amazing friends! there were the girls i grew up with through high school, the many groups of friends i made in college, my music friends, my swing dancing friends, my san francisco friends, my grad school friends, my blogger friends, and on and on.
but then there are those people that instantly became my best friends, without any awkward period or working to get to know each other. it's hard to describe, but there was just this instant connection, as if we'd known each other forever. these are the people whom i've stay connected with no matter how far apart we live, no matter how long it's been since we've talked or seen each other, and the moment we're around each other again, it's as if no time has passed at all! these are the people i couldn't live very happily without.
the photo i chose was one from my wedding, and although it doesn't show all of these closest friends of mine, i was lucky enough to have just about all of them there that day. at first glance, this photo might seem a little silly to you, but it's one of my favorites from our wedding pictures. these are some of my favorite people in the entire world, and what are they doing? why serenading me with kazoos of course! it was so much fun to be sitting in the sunshine, surrounded by all my favorite people, laughing, being silly, and finally being able to hang out together again. what a magical gift that was {one of the best things about weddings}, and i hope it will happen again someday soon!
