i have been LOVING the super cold, cloudy weather in los angeles lately. it finally feels like fall and the holiday season! which means i get to wear super warm, cozy clothes and sip gingerbread lattes everyday. mmm!

if you live in los angeles and just happened to wonder where to get the best chai latte in the world, then let me tell you, it's at the alcove cafe & bakery! along with the best desserts, a cute outside patio, and a plethora of cool characters.

brandi blogged about the turkey cake last week and i just had to share the cleverness/disgustingness here. it's an entire thanksgiving dinner all rolled into one giant cake. please go read the ingredients, it's sort of mind-blowing in a totally amazing and *gross* sort of way.

No 211 - Moulin Rouge! Director - Baz Luhrmann I remember very vividly when I first saw this film. I was in sixth form when it came out, and was a student of 'Theatre Studies', so there was naturally a lot of talk about this overtly theatrical piece. However, I was not convinced that I would enjoy it, it looked overtly soppy, a chicks film. Finally I was convinced to go and see it (Tom Done, who was in the year above and who was utterly terrifying, though who is now a good friend, won me over by stating the line I have used as a title. Surely a film MUST be good if it features unconscious Argentinians and cross dressing dwarfs!).
