Saw Dorian Gray (Oliver Parker, 2009) with R. Not really better than The Picture of Dorian Gray (Albert Lewin, 1945). Not really better than Dorian Gray (Massimo Dallamano, 1970) with mythical Helmut Berger. I suppose it was interesting to cast Ben Barnes, considering his squeaky clean boyish thing.


Saw Riverworld (Stuart Gillard, 2010, TV movie). Not worth it, in spite of Tahmoh Penikett. I loved the Philip Jose Farmer novels in my teens.


Saw The Phantom (Paolo Barzman, 2009, TV movie). Not worth it, in spite of Ryan Carnes.


Saw Smallville Season 8. Always the same, but some of the characters are still likable, Tom Welling is still Tom Welling, and it's so corny you end up glued to your couch.

I was in sixth form when it came out, and was a student of 'Theatre Studies', so there was naturally a lot of talk about this overtly theatrical piece.
