Get Up and Dance, You Old Slug!

I saw this big slug making his way across the front porch. I liked the pattern of spots on his skin. (Skin? Do slugs have skin? Hmm...) The spots make him look a little like a jaguar or a cheetah or perhaps a leopard to me. I found it both amusing and interesting that one of the slowest creatures around should have any sort of similarity with one of the fastest creatures around.

I took another picture of him with a quarter next to him so you could see the size of him.

A Slug

I'm just a slug,
a slow moving bug,
leaving a trail of slime.
If you're in a hurry,
go on around.
I'll catch up...
in my own good time.
