Went to see Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen




Went to see Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Michael Bay, 2009). Much too long. Big blockbuster, only destined to sell popcorn and keep the kids off the street. Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf are not going to revolutionize acting just yet. She is superhot, one has to admit. I liked the transformers and the special effects in the first one, I seem to remember, but this time it's just an unending series of explosions and most of the time you can't even tell the good machines from the bad machines. What do you expect, this franchise is, after all, adapted from a gammut of toys. It does feature Josh Duhamel, though. And lovely views of Egypt (in a Hollywood studio, no doubt).
