Thanks to My Friends
My friend Jen at Unglazed held a giveaway on her blog recently, and I was fortunate enough to have my name drawn out as the lucky winner! Many thanks to Jen for holding such a fun giveaway and for the prizes that I received this week in the mail.
As you can see in the photo above, Jen sent me a hummingbird feeder and the food to go in it along with a very cute pot of flowers.
The pot of yellow daisies (not a coincidence, I'm sure!) goes great with my yellow kitchen and now looks right at home sitting on my kitchen table as a centerpiece. I love it!
As soon as it stops raining long enough that I can get it done, I want to get the feeder put up too, so that the hummingbirds can start visiting here. I can't wait to start watching them!
Thanks so much, Jen, for sharing and for your generosity and thoughtfulness!

I'd also like to thank Wixy who writes several blogs, all of which are worth a visit. Click his name to link to his profile so you can choose which you'd like to read. His main blog is Wixy's Gone Bananas. He also writes a poetry blog called Whattville Is On The Other Side of the Tracks and an inspirational and faith blog called Seek Him First.
Wixy was given the Passionate Blogger Award by Mike Golch of Rambling Stuff .
About being given this award, Wixy said, " I guess the passion that I show while blogging is the passion to communicate with others in a non confrontational way. "
Wixy honored me with the Passionate Blogger Award that you see below.
This is what Wixy said about me: " Daisy shows us her world and always give us a reason to dance along with providing the music. Her blog is a mixture of prose and poetry, photos and videos, and sometimes she will read the post to us."Thank you, Wixy, for your kind words and for giving this award to me. I think all of my readers deserve this award because they all show their passion through their blogs, so I'd like to pass this along to all those who come here regularly who would like to take it back and post it on their blogs.
I consider all of my readers to be my friends and appreciate all of you. With that in mind, here is the song, "Friends With You," sung by John Denver which expresses how I feel about my friends both that I know personally and that I know through blogging.
