Night Walk

It was late when I walked through the park a couple of nights ago. It was dark, but I went anyway. It was quiet for the most part. Just a little chilly, but really not too bad. It was peaceful. It did me good.

This is the path through the park that I walk on. The lights in the distance are at the Imagination Station, which is a community built play area. There is a basketball court next to the Imagination Station. Every once in a while, I could hear the sounds of some young men playing a game on the court there while I walked.

No one was out having a picnic at this hour.

Nobody sitting on the park benches either.

Some of the trees looked a little bit spooky. They reminded me of the trees in the movie the Wizard of Oz that threw apples at Dorothy (and her little dog too!)

For the photo below, I purposely took the picture from a weird angle and perspective. If you use your imagination, you might see half of an octopus in the bottom of the deepest black recesses of the ocean watching you with one eye instead of a tree reaching up into the black of the night.

I liked the way the red and brown colors of the leaves in this squirrel's nest stood out against the gray of the tree branches and the inky sky.

The moon was out big and bright and beautiful that night. I tried taking different shots of it. I fiddled with the settings on the camera, experimenting. None of which really worked the way I wanted it to! HA! :-D

Oh well. Here are the results of my efforts.
