I'm a Smiling Banana Weiner!

I never realized when I first started blogging how many fun, interesting, creative, friendly people I would meet as a result. I owe a thank you to some of those folks, so I thought I would use this post today to do that.

A while ago, Jen from the blog, Unglazed, gave Dorothy from the blog, Counting My Blessings, the Smile award. Dorothy then passed it on to me.

There are no rules attached to this award. I was told I could keep it or give it away to whomever and whenever I wanted. So I am passing this award on to everyone who comes here and reads this. That's right, you heard me--EVERYONE. It makes me smile to know that I'm not just writing to hear myself think here and that someone is out there reading this, so you---YES YOU!!--- have just been given the Smile award too.

As I said, there are no rules attached. Take it and put it on your blog if you would like to or pass it along to as many people as you like. Thanks to Dorothy (and Jen, who also makes me smile) for this award. Both Dorothy's and Jen's blogs are fun to read and well worth a visit when you have the time. Thank you too, to those who come here to read what I have to say.

Next, Cliff from Wixy's Gone Bananas has awarded me with a top banana award. Cliff gave away numerous top banana blogger awards at his site, and I was fortunate enough to be chosen for one of them. You can visit his page to see who all the other winners that he chose are. I feel I am in good company with the other bloggers that he chose. This is what Cliff wrote about me on his blog.

The Master Storyteller Top Banana goes to Daisy, of Dancing With Daisy and Smiling With Daisy fame. Daisy is a fellow Buckeye baby boomer blogger. I met her through Liquid and she became an active part of my blog list. She also is quite a good poet and has a pleasant voice, which you hear as she posts herself reading her posts occasionally.

Thank you, Cliff.

Finally, Mildred from Nalley Valley recently had her 100th blog post. In celebration of that fact, she held a giveaway, and I was chosen as the winner. Her dog Harriet (who is so beyond cute you won't believe it--go check her out in her striped swimming suit ) was a guest host on her blog to announce the "weiner." I was the lucky one chosen to receive a beautiful calendar from Hidden Haven Homestead.

Thank you so much, Mildred. Congratulations on your 100th post, and I hope there will be many more to follow. Mildred's blog is filled with great stories and wonderful pictures about her home and family in Georgia and about places of interest to see in her state. Visit her blog when you have time. You won't regret it.

And because you all know how much I like to see you up and dancing, here's a little something to get you moving. Thank you very much.
