happy father's day!
a great big happy father's day to all of the dads out there, especially mine!
i feel so lucky that i have a great one {actually i feel so lucky that i have all great parents}. my dad has so many fantastic stories, like the time he met johnny cash and had a song dedicated to him back when they were young {my dad was a helicopter pilot in the army at the time}. or the time he hot-wired a crane in the middle of the night, picked up his high school principal's vw bug, and set it on the school gym's roof. he returned the crane and headed to school the next morning as if nothing had happened. when he arrived news cameras were there reporting the story. the principal was outraged, but since the cameras were there, he chalked it up to boys being boys and let it go. my dad got away with a lot of crazy things when he was growing up. thanks for everything dad!!
