gratitude

oh blogger - gah! after the great blogspot debacle of 2011, i had to take a break from the whole frustrating internet world this morning.  but then i started thinking about the things which i'm really excited about today and decided it was time to sit down and write my gratitude post.

here's what i'm thankful for today:
* that the mister bought a countertop dishwasher for us with his birthday money {having ocd means i'm the only one who can wash dishes, so that purchase was really a gift for me - sweetest man ever!}.
* that our dishwasher {which i have named "sir cleans-a-lot"} arrived an entire week early!
* that i have only had to wash two things by hand over the past couple days {sir cleans-a-lot is definitely the highlight of my week}.
moving on...
* having band practice with the entire joe gil band for the first time - it sounded incredible! i'm so excited for saturday night... at 10pm... hotel cafe {just in case you forgot}.
* for finishing a couple tasks on my to-do list which i have been putting off for weeks.
* for wet wipes {the ocd's best friend}.
* for an awesome stylist friend to play dress up with in preparation for the concert.
* for putting the "next" button on my bookmark tab bar. best thing to ever happen for blog reading!! thanks to red boots for discovering this {seriously, go here to learn more about it, you won't be sorry}!

Suddenly an unconscious Argentinean fell through my roof. He was quickly joined by a dwarf dressed as a nun.

No 211 - Moulin Rouge! Director - Baz Luhrmann I remember very vividly when I first saw this film. I was in sixth form when it came out, and was a student of 'Theatre Studies', so there was naturally a lot of talk about this overtly theatrical piece. However, I was not convinced that I would enjoy it, it looked overtly soppy, a chicks film. Finally I was convinced to go and see it (Tom Done, who was in the year above and who was utterly terrifying, though who is now a good friend, won me over by stating the line I have used as a title. Surely a film MUST be good if it features unconscious Argentinians and cross dressing dwarfs!).
