If they increase the amount of RAM to 1GB they could increase the amount the integrated graphics use to around 128mb, the current 64mb is a bit low.
The 64 MB quoted for the GMA950 is actually a "sliding window". It can (and often does) request a larger chunk of video RAM from the memory controller as required. Out of that chunk, the GMA950 slides around its 64 MB window to adjust which areas of memory it can directly manipulate at any given time.
(According to Apple's website, simply booting MacOS X on a MacBook or Mac Mini causes the graphics system to commandeer approximately 80 MB of RAM.)

34C is really, really low. 54C sounds more normal. How does your MacBook feel to the touch? Warmer? Perhaps it was reading the temp incorrectly before and is now reading it correctly?
Is this under normal operating conditions? Not pushing it?
According to CoreDuoTemp and iStatPro, my MB is usually around 19 to 25C. I've seen it reach 50ish when I push it. :confused: :confused:

I'm assuming hyperpasta meant getting the videos he/she already has purchased from the iTunes store upgraded to 640x480 without having to buy them a second time. While everyone would love a free upgrade, of course, but since bandwidth isn't free, some sort of one-time discounted fee for upgrading one's entire library to the higher resolution would be a reasonable solution. That would make early adopters not feel like they got screwed for supporting Apple, plus make people hope for a discounted upgrade to even higher resolution videos (at least movies) in the future.

I just ordered the new 2TB Western Digital, it says it is for PC only, as it is formatted for NTSF, but it'll work on my MPB, right? Even if I have to re-format it?

Are you joking? The basic $200 one lacks DVD burning, XBox 360 connectivity, media center, the whole new GUI, and searching! Each one has disadvantages, purposely crippled by Microsoft- only the $300 business edition has encryption and backup, remote desktop and multi-processor support (that's right, you need the business for multiple processors- since the lower end models can use multiple cores and are multithreaded, this means Microsoft DELIBERATELY disabled the functionality in the other models), only the $240 Premium edition has DVD burning, slideshows, media center, etc...
They're trying to force you into buying the Ultimate edition.
Frankly, you shouldn't have to spend $400 to get what Apple includes in the BASIC OS.

Like the world has done such a bang up job of being trustworthy, lol. Apple has to do what they believe they have to do to survive and thrive. They haven't done it by the conventional/popular ways of thinking. I never said that Apple is perfect or that their approval process is just right. But it is what it is. People aren't all trustworthy, that's probably a reason why they clamp down (whether right or wrong in certain instances) on app approval.
